Teaser Tuesday - July 20

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme,
hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I am still reading The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory.

Here are my teaser sentences:

"Shall I take a hundred wives to get a thousand clerks for the throne?" he teased her.

"We will make a kingdom that we can be proud of, just as my mother and father did in Spain."

  1. This is a book I've thought about reading. I hope you're enjoying it so far. I like the thought of to "make a kingdom we can be proud of..." Very romantic!

Saw your post on Philippa Gregory's The Constant Princess. Nice, she can do no wrong. Check out The Burton Review, the blogger there has plenty of historical fiction posted and you will fall in love with her site.
Again welcome and see you next Tuesday!
